The Wender brothers were discovered by the Defense Department as kids and were brought in and helped to build up their ability as energy conduits. One of the two brothers are usually sent on Special Ops missions to unfriendly countries and used to siphon off nuclear or other dangerous energies.
Creation
The Wender brothers were created by Jeff Parker. Erik first appeared in Dark Avengers #175.
Major Story Arcs
Cataclysm
Erik Wender was sent alongside a group of soldiers to the nation of Sharzhad to remove their seemingly unlimited source of power. The strike failed and Wender was captured. The Defense Department, alongside F.A.C.T., organised a new team of Thunderbolts to go to Sharzhad and liberate Erik and assist him in finishing his mission.
