Exalt is one of the Ruined, beings once active on Earth but exiled to another dimension in uncertain circumstances. They exiled c. 9000 BC. Excavations in modern Paris uncovered ruins that actually included a doorway to the exile location of the Ruined. The Ruined were able to take possession of several people present in the exploration of the ruins.
