Father Ramon Joquez

Ramon Joquez was a professor at the Univeristy where Jack Russel and his girlfriend attended as well. He eventually stopped working there and became a priest. He helped translate the Darkhold book but was killed through the actions of Aelfric the Mad Monk.

Creation

Father Ramon was created by Gerry Conway and Mike Ploog and first appeared in Werewolf by Night issue 2 (1972).

Major Story Arcs

Translating the Darkhold

During the time that Father Ramon Joquez was a priest, he was contacted by Jack Russel and his friends and was asked to help them translate the ancient Darkhold book. During his translation, he felled the evil of the book and tried to warn Jack, but was soon taken over by the evil spirit in the Darkhold known as Aelfric the Mad Monk. He used and altered Ramon Joquez's body. Ramon Joquez was only returned when Aelfric was impalled and his evil spirit left Ramon's body. Ramon Joquez died of his wounds not long after.
