Origin

Despite the fact that it is nearly biologically impossible for angels to fall in love, Fernande did with her fellow angel, Anemone. Unfortunately, the leader of the angels sided with Malekith during the War of the Realms. He offered the destruction of Asgardia, if the angels would pledge to help him take Midgard. He had just one more request: Malekith had never killed an angel before and wanted to. Anemone was chosen in a random lottery to be sacrificed to Malekith, much to Fernande's despair.

Creation

Fernande first appeared in War of the Realms: Spider-Man & the League of Realms #1 by Sean Ryan and Nico Leon.

War of the Realms

As part of Malekith's war party, the angels were assigned the continent of Africa to invade. Fernande was put in charge of a troop of angels to take Nigeria. She had laid siege to Lagos, imprisoning many of the residents, however, she remained reluctant due to the loss of her lover. The League of Realms had been sent to the African front, and their newest representative of Midgard, Spider-Man, offered Fernande the chance to repent. She accepted, freeing her hostages and ordering her angels to fight alongside the Nigerian military, while she joined the League to represent her realm against Malekith.

Fernande and the others catch up with their former teammates at The Vatican, where they were being overwhelmed by Kurse. Spidey and Fernande are able to distract Kurse long enough for Ro Bloodroot to counterspell the armor and free Warizia, a former member of the League who was forced to become Kurse by Malekith. She reunited with her old team, and they continued to fight until the war was won.
