Ginny Guzman's power are likely to have come after the events of Avengers vs X-Men, when Hope Summers caused millions of people around the world to manifest mutant powers by destroying the Phoenix Force.
Along with Spiral, Ginny was pretending to sell the drug Tao, on the streets of Los Angeles, but was actually using her new telepathic abilities to produce the effects. An X-Force team, consisting of Psylocke, Storm and Puck confronted Ginny, but she and Spiral escaped.
Bishop captured Ginny , prompting Spiral and Puck to team-up to rescue her. In the ensuing fight, Spiral and Ginny escaped.
