Arcana Latveriana
Greta's brother, who was still very suspicious of magic, also attended the school and often sabotaged her social life with the other magic users. When a group of vampire students dare her to break into the library to steal of Doctor Doom's first edition magic books, The Arcana Latveriana, he followed her into the library and snatched the book from her hands. It was a special book of fairy tales, which would turn into a portal to a imaginary world where all the fairy tales were real. As he started to read from it, Greta rescued him from the portal at the expense of herself. She would remain stuck in the book, forced to survive, until the Doom became Sorcerer Supreme.
As Sorcerer Supreme, Doom has the Strange Academy shut down and invited any of the students to attend the Doom Academy. Zoe Laveau was manipulated by her new roommate, Marta, of the same clan as Greta and culturally forbidden from using magic. Marta allowed Zoe to hear Greta from the book so she would investigate it. Unfortunately, Zoe became trapped as well, but her classmates from the Strange Academy worked with Marta and Scoops, of the school paper, to pull both of them out.
Unfortunately, due to all the protection spells Greta cast, many of the monsters inside the book had a connection to her and used that connection to follow her through the portal to the real world. The students were easily overwhelmed, so Zoe and Doyle hatched a plan to imprison the villains in a different dimension similar to the book. Doyle opened a portal to the Dark Dimension, and Zoe commanded the dead from that dimension to drag the villains in. This got the attention of Doctor Doom, who was impressed by the students but disappointed in Zelma Stanton and Doctor Voodoo for losing track of them in the first place.
Afterward, Great was officially admitted back into Doom Academy, where she roomed with Zoe and Marta until a new dorm could be found for her.
