A solemn Odin is quiet and broods, until asked of his state by his son Thor. Odin then sends Thor, Volstagg, Fandral and Hogun on a quest, one which involves many challenges, and one of those challenges, being defeating the guardian of Kartag, Him Who Sleeps. Transported to this strange place, all four men, encounter a mammoth reptilian beast with multiple limbs. It strikes at the Warrior's Three, but a vicious Thor strikes it hard enough to make it recoil and retreat. The reptilian beast Him Who Sleeps was strong enough to be able to grasp Thor in a hand and also possessed the ability to shoot powerful lasers from his mouth.
