Origin

Burt Kenyon was a soldier in Vietnam. During the Viet Nam War, Burt saved the life of Frank Castle, who would later go on to become the Punisher. Kenyon told Castle he would owe him a life one day. Burt was kicked out of the marines a few months later for violent conduct. He returned to the States and began working for New York crime organizations soon afterwards as a killer for hire. He donned a costumed and became a mercenary by the name; Hitman.

Creation

Hitman was created by Archie Goodwin and Sal Buscema and first appeared in The Spectacular Spider-Man Vol.1 issue 4 (1977).

Major Story Arcs

Versus Spider-Man/Punisher and Death

On one assignment, Burt ran into Spider-Man. The two would clash, but Hitman manaed to get away. Burt was then offered a new assignmet, killing J. Jonah Jameson. This however caught the attention of both Spider-Man and Burt's old soldier-inarms the Punisher. Soon after the Punisher began to hunt him down. In a rooftop battle where the Hitman was trying to kill J. Jonah Jameson, he was shot by the Punisher. As he clung to the Statue of Liberty for dear life, the Hitman begged the Punisher to save him. With only enough to time to save Spider-Man and Jameson or the Hitman, Punisher chose to save Spidey and JJ. Just before making the decision, Burt releaved Punisher from the debt he made to him in the war, and let himself go, falling to his death.

Dead no More: The Clone Conspiracy

Burt was seemingly revived/cloned by the Jackal, alongside a number of other dead villains. He could only 'remain alive' if he received a daily chemical injected by the Jackal.

Weapons and Abbilities

He traditionally used an m1911. He has been drawn using a number of fictional superguns. He has great skill on a motorbike.

Alternate Hitman

An unknown individual who purchased the rights to the name, costume, and equipment from the Hobgoblin.
