Inferno was originally a lesser known demon called Slifer. He aided Roulette and Aquarius in the capture of Johnny Blaze's soul. When both of these attempts failed, Satan transformed Slifer into Inferno. Slifer as Inferno possessed fear based powers. He was last seen using these powers on the Hulk in another attempt to defeat Blaze.
