History

Inza was brutally raped as a young girl by men associated with the Peruvian authorities. This drove her to join the Shining Path, a left-wing terrorist organisation dedicated to overthrowing the government.

To this end she used her mutant powers to commit terrorist acts in Lima, to free the former leader of the Shining Path, Ernesto Sanz and to assassinate the Peruvian Finance Minister. Sanz then revealed he had been hoarding his wealth abroad to secure Peru's takeover, but both of them are interrupted by Cable who forces Sanz to use his wealth to cancel Peru's international debts, whilst leaving the authorities in power. Inza is taken prisoner but later escapes.
