Izanami was a mystically enhanced assassin created by the Hand. He held great strength, possibly superhuman, and an unnatural skill in the martial arts. He was equiped with a long sword and various weapons typical of the ninja. His healing factor allowed him to rapidly recover from otherwise fatal wounds. Only wounds destroying his body could kill him. His healing process required meditation to begin in earnest.
