The Starchild passed on the Star Brand to Jacob Burnley due to the wisdom and experience that came with his age.
He attempted to recreate Pittsburgh, but it didn't work.
He brought the Old Man, nemesis to the original Star Brand, Kenneth Connell, to the Starchild.
