Jacques offered her the information about Sinister in order to get his son, Jean-Luc, back after the covenant with Candra was broken. He then double-crossed Gambit. Regardless of this, Gambit saved the Guild and Jacques.
How or when he died is unknown but it was before Remy became part of the New Orleans Thieves Guild.
