Jean Luc does not appear to have any superhuman powers, though, as Guild Leader, he would have had a drink of the Elixir of Life, and therefore would have a supernaturally long lifespan. He is a professional thief.

X-Men: Evolution
Jean-Luc only appears in one of the comic book adaptions; X-men Evolution ( season 4 episode 6 titled Cajun Spice). Here is he is still the leader of The Thieves Guild. Not much else is known about Jean-Luc other than he is is Gambit's adoptive father (like his comic counterpart. But is for unknown circumstances.) It is also known that his guild's rival is The Rippers (this version of The Assassins Guild.) However he has not arranged the marriage between Gambit and Bella-Donna (since she does not exist.)
