In an alternate timeline, Rick Jones' descendants used the Destiny Force to build the ruthless and corrupt Terran Empire which, by the 26th century, held the universe in its grasp. Jonz was made "Legion-Master" of the Galactic Avenger Battalion Theta-4 by his blood-kin, the enigmatic Emperor Rickard and was stationed on Earth.

When twelve Alpha Centaurians attempted to rebel against the Terran Empire, Jonz froze time and had his armies lay waste to the Alpha Centauri homeworld killing two-thirds of the planets inhabitants before unfreezing time and explaining his reasons for punishing so many innocent people for the crimes committed by only twelve of their number.

When several time-displaced Avengers (Captain America, Hawkeye, Wasp, Yellowjacket, Giant Man, Genis-Vell, Songbird and Rick Jones) visually disguised by Immortus as The Guardians of the Galaxy were sent to 26th Century Earth, where they were greeted by Jonz and his armies, who managed to capture them and lock them away for a short time.

Jonz was later seen at the End of Time itself using his Destiny Force powers to increase the might of the endless armies of "evil" Avengers as well as his own forces who were summoned from every reality that ever went wrong. Thanks to the armies of "good" Avengers, Jonz and his allies were defeated and sent back to their own timelines.
