Liminal was created by writer Ashley Allen and artist Peach Momoko, and first appeared in Magik (2025) #2.

Origin

Liminal was once a human boy, born centuries in the past. As a child, he was kidnapped by a group of mages who sacrificied him for great power. The power infected his physical form, and the child became a being of dark power known as Liminal. Later, another group of mages gathered to stop Liminal, binding his power and banishing him to an unknown realm, back in the form of a young boy. As his facade of humanity aged, his powers returned to him by melding with the forces of the realm that was now his home. Now an adult, Liminal fights to break the seals that were cast upon him and return him to Earth to rule.
