History

The CIA of Earth-7484 (Deathlok's world) created a clone based off of Luther Manning's genetic material in an attempt to return Deathlok's consciousness to a human body. While they managed to create a clone with all of Manning/Deathlok's memories, they didn't manage to transfer the consciousness itself, leaving Deathlok essentially unchanged.

The clone worked for the CIA, keeping tabs on Deathlok until Deathlok became lost in time. Feeling empty and meaningless, the Manning clone searched for Deathlok, discovering from Godwulf that Deathlok had become lost in a past timeline (Earth-616, the mainstream reality).

The clone, with Godwulf's assistance, travelled back to find Deathlok. He soon met up with Captain America, who instinctively trusted him. The two used a device built by Godwulf to track Deathlok to a Brand Corporation facility, where they were ambushed by security personnel and a brainwashed Deathlok. The Manning clone was shot with a laser and began to bleed out. As he did so, he reached out to Deathlok and reawakened the humanity trapped inside of him, allowing the personality of Luther Manning to reassert itself inside of Deathlok. The clone died soon afterward.

Powers and Abilities

Although the clone lacked the bionic enhancements of Deathlok, he had all of his memories, combat instincts, and training. He also had access to high-tech weapons and equipment provided by the CIA and Godwulf. His mind also contained an engram-copy of the computer program that existed within the Deathlok body, which could perform onboard analysis for him
