Mammomax is a bipedal elephant-like mutant who was a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and the 198. He was killed by Predator X and the Facility.

Origin
Brotherhood
Mammomax was a member of the Exodus lead incarnation of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. During the Brotherhood's confrontation with the X-Men in Philadelphia, Mammomax was quickly beaten by Iceman. The brotherhood next showed up attacking the Xavier Institute where Mammomax was badly beaten by the Juggernaut and then sucked into a black hole created by Xorn's head.
After M-Day
Mammomax took up residence on the Xavier Institute's front lawn as a member of the 198. He was one of the mutants implanted with a "tracking chip" that actually turned out to be a device which allowed the Office of National Emergency (O.N.E.) to disable mutants before they could become violent. Mister M later removed these devices from the heads of all mutants implanted with them. He left the Institute with Mr. M and the rest of the mutants that were unhappy with how they were being treated.
Death
After Mammomax left the Xavier's institute he soon went his own way. Not soon after however, Mammomax was captured and turned into a prisoner of the Facility, a organization bend on making mutants their own personal weapons, and experimenting on them. Mammomax was sure that his friends would find and rescue him eventually. Unfortunately, they didn't. Mammomax was used as a test subject for Predator X, which devoured him and left nothing but his skeleton behind. The New X-Men found his remains, but where Mammomax was laid to rest remains to be seen.
Trivia: Mammomax should not be mistaken for Tantra, another elephant-like mutant who appeared in the same time period and was also staying at Xavier's.
Powers and Abilities
Mammomax possesses enhanced strength and durability, as well as possesses the ability to expel and spit an acid like liquid substance from his mouth. The extent of Mammomax's strength enabled him to lift up to weights of 20 tons. His durability allowed him to withstand high caliber bullets and other minor forms of blasts and projectiles. He has two elephant like tusks protruding from his jaws, giving him an elephant like appearance.
