Finding he can control the "Super Mutated Meteor-Wax" he discovered in his backyard, Laurent Levessaur proceeds to create copies of United States super heroes in order to discredit them in the eyes of his fellow Canadians.
Creation
The Manimator was created by Scott Lobdell and Davie Ross and first appeared in Alpha Flight, Vol. 3, Issue 7 (2004).
Major Story Arcs
Alpha Flight
Laurent Levessaur decides to create havoc with models he has made of the famous heroes from the United States such as the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men. Levessaur's plan is foiled almost immediately when they attack Major Mapleleaf and Puck/Zuzha Yu of Alpha Flight. Puck eventually discovers that Levessaur is the one controlling the super-powered copies and promptly knocks him unconscious. This renders all of his creations instantly inert.
