Major Story Arcs
Hidden Treasure Means Death
While strolling along a riverbank, Mantor saw a drowning girl and magically rescued her by conjuring a life belt. Grateful for his help, the girl, Joan Winters, revealed she was planning to commit suicide due to despair over her father's death and mentioned a treasure map he had left her. After arriving at her late father's castle, they discussed the treasure, but their conversation was interrupted by Saunders, the father's servant, whom Joan admitted to fearing. As night fell, Mantor prepared for trouble by creating a duplicate of himself, only for it to be attacked by a deformed creature. After scaring the creature away, Mantor discovered a hidden passage revealed by moonlight but was distracted by Joan's terrified scream. Upon unlocking her room, he confronted a sword-wielding monster but was knocked unconscious. When he awoke, Joan was missing, and he quickly found her drowning in a lake, which he magically drained to save her. Mantor then pursued the monsters, who had actually been Saunders and his brother masquerading, and he managed to capture them and retrieve the treasure, leaving them to be arrested by the police.
Defending Lotkill
In Lotkill, Mantor aids the Scarlet Witch at the Emporium as an occult appraiser. As chaos erupts with the appearance of the Endlings attacking Lotkill, civilians rush to the Emporium for refuge. Mantor and Darcy Lewis work together to protect the citizens. Despite their efforts, the attacks from the demons are relentless, leading to Mantor joining the battle. Tragically, he is crushed by a large spike that crashes down on him.
Powers and Abilities
Mantor's powers seem to center around creating and manipulating matter. He possesses the ability to manipulate objects through telekinesis, unleash fire from his eyes, and conjure a range of tangible items out of nothing, such as ropes and life preservers. Additionally, he is capable of transmutation, altering swords into silk or converting guns into water pistols. He can also generate realistic replicas of living beings that can speak. It seems that Mantor executes his magical feats through mere thoughts and basic hand gestures, without the need for spoken spells.
