Origins

Marisol or "Creep", is a young mutant gifted with the ability to control plant life. Some cruel students of the Jean Grey School for higher learning gave her the codename "Creep" because, according to her, her mutation "creeps" them out and she likes it. She had a little stand off with headmistress Ororo Munroe, known to most as Storm labeling her a "sellout".

After an argument with Storm, she was able to convince her to allow Marisol to return to her family in Mexico, where she could have a happier life and could use her powers to help. When Zero returned wanting revenge against the X-men and Storm in particular, Marisol was one of his specific targets, but when she and the others connected with Ororo, they were able to stop Kenji's plans.

Krakoa and Fall of X

When the mutant nation of Krakoa was created, Marisol still decided to remain with her family, but she occasionally visited the island thanks to the many portals. When Orchis took down Krakoa, she was one of the many mutants that were able to remain on Earth.

She decided to use her powers to create a refuge for mutants near her home. This made her a target of Orchis. The Goblyn Queen assembled her X-men to rescue her and the other mutants and took them to Limbo Embassy.

Marisol was able to ambush and knock out the majority of them with the spores of mushrooms she grew, with the exception of new recruit Feint, who attempted to talk and reason with the other young mutant. At first it seemed that Carmen was succesful, but soon Orchis sent an alternate version of Nightcrawler to attack them.

Marisol and the Dark X-men were able to repel him, but after the conflict she threatened them to leave as she felt that she couldn't trust them and she felt safer on her own.

When Krakoa decided to move to White Room, Marisol probably was one of the many mutants that chose to remain in Earth, seeing her attatchment to her family.

Powers and abilities

Marisol has the mutant power of making plants grow. Usually the kind of plants that she creates depend of her mood: if she is happy, she will bloom beautiful flowers while if she is upset, mushrooms will appear instead.
