Origin

Mist has been the leader of the Gaping Maw since at least the last Dragon Challenge and it is her job to oversee the tournament and challenge the winning pair to a fight for leadership.

It has come time for the Gaping Maw to have their Dragon Challenge and it is up to Mist to over see the proceedings.

When Daredevil and Spider-Boy show up with a stolen Golden Fang, the entry fee to the tournament, Mist allows them to fight, but promises Hulkette and Enormo, the fighters who the heroes stole the fang from, that they can get there revenge after the tournament.

When Daredevil challenges Bullseye and Spider-Girl's win, due to Bullseye having a concealed weapon, Mist sides with the rules of the tournament and ejects Bullseye from the tournament. She then allows Spider-Girl to pick a new partner before facing her as the final challenge of the tournament.

Spider-Girl and Spider-Boy then face Mist in the final fight. The spider kids are able to defeat Mist when Spider-Boy realizes that Mist needs to be on solid ground and has Spider-Girl use Hulkette's power to smash the floor, thus defeating the leader of the Maw.

Powers and Abilities

Mist is a excellent hand to hand fighter and can turn herself into a mist form, a kind of phasing ability. In this form Mist can still attack her enemies with powerful claw attacks but she needs to keep her feet solid or risk falling through the floor.
