Mole is a member of the Morlocks. In love with Opal Tanaka, he admired her from his hiding place under the ground. It was also where Sabretooth was hiding and stalking Mole and his friend Chicken Wings. After killing Chicken Wings, Sabretooth went for Mole. Standing in tears, seeing Sabretooth approach him, Mole suddenly used his powers to burrow his way underneath New York City. Sabretooth was unable to follow him. He ended up in the Bronx, where he lived for a couple of years. When Krakoa became the mutant nation, he moved there.

He is able to disintegrate matter or just render it temporarily diffuse by manipulating molecular motion.
