Brief History

Mowfus is an aquatic alien who was stranded on Earth due to his space ship crashing. He was later able to leave with his family. He has actually kept visiting the planet due to loose ends from his extended stay. He has superhuman strength, estimated to be able to lift between 75 and 100 tons. He has been able to face the Thing as an equal on several occasions. His skin is leathery and highly durable. His physiology includes both lungs and gills. He can communicate with aquatic lifeforms of Earth. He can understand English and other languages but his natural form is mute. He uses a potion to assume human form but still has trouble interacting with a crowd.

Mowfus is mostly interested in caring for his wife and children. Past incidents of violence mostly resulted from miscommunication.

Note fans of 1950's science fiction films, this Monster was inspired by the 1954 classic, "The Creature From the Black Lagoon". Julie Adams' character is kidnapped in said film, similiar to the Invisible Girl being abducted in FF #124.
