Mr. Beckham was a successful businessmen who founded an organisation for similarly wealthy mutants known as the Gauntlet. The Gauntlet used their combined powers to open portals to other dimensions and discovered a world ripe for exploitation. The Gauntlet kidnapped young from the planet to sell their body parts for high-profit margins. However, they were followed by one of the young parents who started killing them in revenge. Mr. Beckham was the first to die.
