Muramasa

Muramasa is an excellent skillful smith of a violent and somewhat insane mind. All of his swords are extremely sharp which are bolstered through his the ability to put souls in his weapons making them infinitely more effective, and lethal. These soul blades hunger for the will of the soul used to make it.

Origin

Muramasa, not only a swordsman with legendary ability wielding such weapons, but also a master sword smith who has been crafting special weapons since at least the 17th century. Muramasa's two most powerful swords are called the Black Blade, which was made with his soul and the Muramasa Sword, which was made with the mutant Wolverine's soul. He is always thinking of new creations.

Creation

Muramasa was first mentioned in Wolverine #3 (1989), however his first appearance wasn't until Wolverine 38 (2006). The first appearance of the Muramasa Blade was in Wolverine #1 (1988).

Powers and Abilities

Muramasa is extraordinary skilled in the realms of swords, a sword master with additional supernatural abilities. Muramasa possesses the ability to infuse weapons with spirits and emotions, life essences and the like. Muramasa is extremely long lived, possibly even immortal.
