Origin  

Olar was a member of the Brethren race, created by the Celestials, used to wipe out other species. Olar was the longest lived of the group, but was killed by his own kind, before they actually made their way to Earth. 
 

Creation 

Olar of the alien race the Brethren was created by  Bob Harras   Tom Palmer   and  Andy Kubert , and first appeared in Avengers Vol 1 #338.  
 

Powers and Abilities

In his humanoid form Olar could extend and control tendrils from his body, similar to how all Brethren could in their native forms.
