The Living Weapon
When an army of cyborg zombie ninjas, led by the mystery One, invaded K’un-Lun, Pei sneaked out of the city with the egg for the next Shou-Lao. She heads for New York to warn Iron Fist, the champion of K’un-Lun. She used a teleportation gateway that led to the basement of Danny’s building, but she was too late. Danny had already fought one wave of ninjas, and Pei narrowly escaped being killed by them. Danny was forced to leave Pei in the hands of his current lover, Brenda Swanson, who took her to the hospital.

Unfortunately, Steel Serpent, who was working with the ninjas, tracked Pei to the hospital. Brenda fought off his forces the best she could to give Pei a head start. While she makes her getaway, she drops the egg and the baby dragon hatches, which she named Gork. Thinking her new dragon pet would help her fight, Pei attempted to make a stand but was captured by Steel Serpent so she could be used as a chi battery by The One.
The One needed the power to fight Zhu-Rong, Taoist god of fire, whom One summoned to New York. After gadget man, Fooh, temporarily rerouted the chi to Danny for one solid hit on One, all the chi batteries were freed. Without The One to stand against Zhu-Rong, Davos attempts to save “his people,” but Pei stands up to him. As punishment, Davos slays the new dragon. Pei cried as she embraced the dragon’s body, which allowed her to take the power of the Iron Fist from the young dragon.
Since K’un-Lun needed rebuilding, Sparrow named Danny her new Thunderer and left Pei to be trained by him. She was believed to be the last of the fists since the new Shou-Lao was too young to lay the next egg, but Pei found a reincarnation spell in The Book of the Iron Fist. She managed to revive the young dragon, as well as all 66 previous incarnations of Shou-Lao by accident.
Immortal Iron Fists

Danny finds himself in the role of Thunderer to the young monk, Pei, the youngest to bear the mark of Shao Lou. He has trouble balancing his responsibilities to her when Detective Li pulls Danny into a missing person case. Their first suspect turns out to be a demon with one of the Ten Exponential Scrolls. They hunt for the remaining scrolls, which would signify the end of the world once all were collected.
Danny was being manipulated though. He didn’t notice that Madame Yeoh (the housekeeper he hired to keep an eye on Pei), Aisyi (the interdimensional demon hunter who teamed up with Li and Danny), and Candace (the popular girl grooming Pei at school) were the daughters of demon, Mara, who would manifest when all 10 scrolls were together.
Pei and Danny fought back, but Mara ripped Danny’s heart out. He offered it to Pei, to become the official Iron Fist, or let the world be destroyed. Pei recognizes Mara as a tempter and takes heed of Danny’s advice that there is a “third option.” She gives her chi to Danny who Iron Fist punches Mara and his daughters back where they came from.
Unfortunately, not only was Pei physically taken with them, but her memory faded from Danny and her new friends as well. It wasn’t until a social worker showed up for a surprise inspection did Danny’s memory get jogged. He could now sense her across dimensions and focused his chi to open a portal. She returned from a gladiatorial world where she passed her Iron Fist tests, earning her powers and ready to continue under Danny’s training.
Contagion
A dangerous supernatural fungus has escaped K’un Lun though subterranean tunnels and made it all the way to New York. Everyone it infects it renders comatose or turns into zombies. Any superhumans it comes into contact with, it is able to mimic their abilities. Pei was left with Jessica Jones, while Danny, Sparrow, and Luke Cage hit the streets with the Fantastic Four.
After Danny informed them Luke had fallen to the infection, Jess forced Danny to watch Dani Cage, while Jess takes Sparrow and Pei to find her husband. They find him comatose with Doctor Strange on Yancy Street.
They eventually linked up with a number of other street level heroes and fighters, including Moon Knight, who ultimately saved the day. His dissociative personality disorder allowed him to connect to the hive mind of the fungus without losing his wits and disconnect the infected heroes one by one.
Heart of the Dragon

Danny is called away when the dragons of the Heavenly Cities are targeted so the Hidden City can consolidate its power. Danny is unable to save the Under City Dragon from Taskmaster cutting out and stealing its heart, but he is able to stop Lady Bullseye from hurting Pei's pet dragon, Gork. After he gets the news that the dragon of Tiger Island and Tiger's Beautiful Daughter were both slain, Danny uses Fooh's portal machine to team with the other Immortal Weapons and Luke Cage to defend the other dragons.
They are able to manifest the cities on Earth so that other heroes can join their defense, including Okoye. Unfortunately, they lose many of the dragons, so The Prince of Orphans collects Danny, his team, and the Spider Island Dragon to bring to the Heart of Heaven. There, they find Okoye, already directed to this city by The Prince. She had slayed the dragon of the Heart of Heaven and quickly slayed the Spider Island Dragon saying she needed to secure the cosmic balance.
That's when Brenda Swanson appears with her new master, the Hierophant. She used the power of the dragon hearts to free him from his dimension. Iron Fist and Okoye combine theirs powers of the Iron Fist and the Heart of Heaven to stop him. While he is distracted, Fooh is able to destroy the gates, delaying the Hierophant in the Heart of Heaven so the heroes can travel to the Hidden City, where they are attacked by the Ghost Dragon.
The heroes are no match for the Ghost Dragon. They need one more dragon heart to empower Okoye, so Pei and Gork agree to sacrifice Gork's life and Pei's chi power, knowing the dragons can be reborn if they win. With this new edge, Okoye is able to slay the Ghost Dragon and claim his power for the Heavenly Cities. When the Hierophant catches up to them, Danny lends his power to Okoye given her the full power of the Heavenly Cities while he and the other heroes fight off Hierophant's army of undead ninjas.

After Okoye has succeeded, she tried to give the Iron Fist back to Danny and Pei, but that is not how it works. Danny says she is the Iron Fist now, but Okoye refuses due to her responsibilities to Wakanda. Instead, the power goes back to Gork (a resurrected Shou-Lao the Undying) who had transformed into an egg. As a result, neither Pei or Danny have there abilities.
Wayward Warrior
Without her power, Pei started to act out. She nearly got expelled from her school for fighting a bully that was trying to steal a K’un-Lun medallion that Danny had entrusted to her. She got out of trouble thanks to Luke Cage leveraging his position as Mayor of New York. She got her a chance to work off 40 hours of community service at his buddy’s music shop instead. She also got involved with a neighboring store run by a Chinese man, named Mr. Han.
Her bully had tracked her down to these shops, hoping to steal her magical artifact and use it to impress his criminal father. He shows up with a few of her dad’s adult goons, but Pei is finally able to harness the power of the medallion, increasing her strength and endurance. She was now able to beat the goons into retreating.
Since she was staying with Luke and Jessica while Danny was out of town, they questioned her over her new bruises. She revealed what the medallion was capable of. The couple agreed to help her figure out how it works later, especially after her bully’s crime boss father returned to the music shop with even more goons.
Death of Danny Rand
On the night of Danny Rand's 34th birthday, Lin Lie and Pei were attacked by Shocker. Unbeknownst to them, Shocker had been hired by Ch'i-Lin, the demon who has managed to kill every Iron Fist on their 33rd birthday except Danny. Now, he was desperate to finish what he started. Possessing the body of Razor-Fist, Chi'i-Lin stabbed Danny in the chest, now that he was vulnerable without his students' help.
