Rakses was reportedly a powerful necromancer who managed to seize the throne of ancient Egypt (at some point within or following the 11th century BC). However he was defeated by N'Kantu and sealed within a tomb. (Unrecorded adventure).
 
In the 21st century, Fazil and Dr. Minkly used the Orb of Ra to resurrect Rakses. They wanted to use his power to kick the United States forces out of the Middle East. The duo used a spell to place the necromancer under their control. To Rakses' amusement, the spell was useless because they mispronounced his name. He casually informed them that the spell placed someone called "Rapses" under their control. He then used a machine gun taken by Fazil to kill his would-be master.
 
He was starting to use the Orb of Ra for himself whenm confornted by N'Kantu, still alive. The two Living Mummies fought each other, before Rakses noted his Orb was gone. N'Kantu was merely distracting him while Elsa Bloodstone stole the Orb. Rakses then  led Elsa in a chase withiun his tomb. Managing to distract her with a a monster-like opponent, while he stepped outside.
 
Rakses trapped Elsa within his tomb and started to gloat over his victory. He failed to notice Adam (Frankenstein's Monster) approaching him. Rakses was decapitated with a shovel.
