Dr. Keisha Kwan was raised by lesbian mothers who study gamma radiation. She blamed her mutation on getting too close to their experiments.

Spider-Man's Therapist

When Spider-Man was looking for help working through some trauma, Misty Knight called in a favor to Doc Sasquatch. As his protege, Keisha was assigned to have regular meetings with the hero.

God War

While presenting her work to Doc, Keisha was suddenly teleported to Miles' side on the ruins of Mount Olympus. She had been chosen as one of the champions of Anansi, like Miles was, in order to compete in a challenge given to Anansi by Ares. Ares was unhappy that Anansi had taken a champion, betraying a pact between their two pantheons. Keisha was chosen for the first bout and forced to fight Philomelus, demigod of agriculture and patron of husbandry. During the fight Keisha revealed that, like her mentor, she had gamma powered super strength, which one her the first round. Rather than mutual combat, the next round was one of Hercules' twelve labors. Miles convinced the champions to work together, ending the challenge in a draw.

This revealed Anansi's secret plan to fight Ares one on one. According to the rules, if the tournament of champions ended in a draw, then Anansi and Ares had to fight as a tiebreaker. When pressed by his champions, Anansi shared the story of how their feud began over a mortal dressmaker who was so talented Ares felt she needed to be humbled. This brought criticisms of pettiness from Miles, which Ares grew tired of entertaining. As the last surviving Olympian of his generation, he accepted his role as the new Skyfather and moved their tournament to Brooklyn so that Miles had proper stakes.

This was a line to far even for Ares' champions. They refused to fight, so Ares called on the Stymphalian Birds again to do his dirty work. The champions, including Keisha, all worked together to save Brooklyn from the monster birds, while Miles, Anansi, and Ares' champioon, Zip Zephyr, took on Ares, eventually defeating him. With Anansi as the official winner, he magically transformed Brooklyn back as it was, including returning Keisha to her office with her civilian clothes.

Webs of Regret

Following Rabble's arrest, Mayor Luke Cage pulled some strings and made her a patient of Dr. Kwan. Rabble was making great progress according to Kwan but started to backslide when she crossed paths with Miles in the waiting room. Kwan was able to mediate their outburst, but they were interrupted by The Assessor. Rabble had found the Assessor programming during the Gang War and started to reconfigure it. She never finished, but the Assessor was able to reconfigure itself.

The Assessor attacked them with Rabble's own drones, which Assessor used to trap Kwan in her soothing VR program which she uses to manage her gamma mutation. She managed to escape in time to catch Miles who was falling from the sky. He knocked himself unconscious releasing his venom blast on Rabble, who had taken over Assessor's drones after he was defeated.

Powers and Abilities

Gamma Mutate: As a gamma mutate, Dr. Kwan is capable of increasing and her size and strength. This strength is related to her adrenaline levels. She gets stronger as her adrenaline levels peak, but when she finally crashes, she loses her gamma mutate powers.
