Biography
Pyre was an agent of HYDRA who joined the D.O.A. She offered her soul and servitude in exchange for power. Her soul was lit ablaze, and she gained power, but is in constant pain, although she has the ability to share it with others.
Pyre was part of a team sent to kill the Nightstalkers. Pyre in particular was able to turn to ash and light the mist form of the vampire Hannibal King ablaze, allowing her commanding officer Belial to stake him. Ultimately, King's partner's Frank Drake and Blade rescued King, and the D.O.A. fled. Baron von Strucker punished them for their failure with his Satan Claw. Later Pyre, on Belial's command, went on a mission to rob graves.
Powers and Abilities
Pyre was imbued with hellfire, and in a constant state of pain. She could "cremate" herself, turning into ash and reforming, this both allowed her to move about in a non-solid state, and relieved her pain. She could also project bolts of hellfire and fly.
