Randi Moore was a scientist formerly employed by NASA. She was then hired by businessman Harlan Silverbird to work on his vibranium projector, a device which emitted vibranium radiation. She failed to realize Silverbird was intending to use it as a weapon able to destroy satelites in orbit. She opposed his plans upon finding out but could not actually stop them. She was held in comfortable captivity in Silverbird's private island. She managed to contact Moon Knight with information on Silverbird's plan and ways to enter the island. She was almost killed as the two men fought and the island buildings turned to debris. She was transported to safety by Spector.
