Origin

Not much about Raymond Warren's past is known except that he was the brother of Miles Warren (Jackal) and the science teacher of Peter Parker (Spider-Man) during his high-school years.

Creation

Raymond Warren was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and first appeared in Amazing Fantasy Vol. 1 issue 15 (1962).

Raymond Warren was a science teacher at Midtown High, whom encouraged Peter Parker to keep on learning. A strange fact is that he is also the brother of Miles Warren, the person that became the Jackal.

Raymond Warren has not been seen much, but has had a profound impact on Peter Parker's life as he motivated him to keep up his good grades, and perhaps is partly responsible for how Peter was formed and the man he has become.

Death

Raymond recruited his old colleague and friend Seymour Krepps to run an inventory of his brother's old equipment. He met with Krepps at the Coffee Bean often, where he reunited with Peter and befriended some of the patrons and staff. At some point, Miles murdered him and burned the corpse to hide the evidence, then unleashed a giant Jackal clone to serve as a distraction. Miles disguised himself as Raymond to continue his work for several weeks. Eventually, his interest in the Arcadium aroused the attention of the authorities and he was exposed and arrested.

A funeral was held in Raymond's honor, where former colleagues and students from Midtown High attended and paid their respects.
