Melinda McDonough was the niece of Eddie McDonough, the Hornet. Eddie had realized that his neice was not developmentally disabled but was in fact a genius and helped her discover her talent for invention. When Eddie was killed by a brainwashed Wolverine, Melinda hid in her bunker and began to build her own Hornet suit. Calling herself the Red Hornet, Melinda tracked Wolverine's address and accidentally attacked X-23 with her dimensional transporter beam, which swapped X-23's mind with Ghost-Spider's. After she realized she had made a mistake she helped the two women return to their own bodies.

Powers & Abilities

No superhuman abilities are obvious but does possess an advanced intellect and develops a powersuit capable of flight.

Weakness

A weak stomach when it comes to high speeds (including during flight).
