Regina appears in Saint Sinner #1 as a good Samaritan who saves Saint Sinner's life. When he throws himself into the water, in an attempt to drown himself and be rid of Runesmith, she pulls him from the water and revives him. He then strangles her for her trouble, at the insistence of Runesmith, who urges him to "kill the harlot". What neither Saint Sinner nor Runesmith realize is that Regina is really an angel. When she dies, her soul enters his body, and the battle for control of Saint Sinner begins.

Regina was created by Clive Barker.
Character Evolution
Regina later reveals to Saint Sinner that she was summoned when Kento Canto split the Smiths into seperate beings, and that her job is to hunt down Runesmith.
