Character Evolution

Rita Bennett is a woman with a very painful past. Her first husband, Paul, was a violent drug user who subjected her to horrific abuse. The pair have two children together, Astor and Cody. Rita and the children later meet Dexter Morgan. He becomes a friend and lover to Rita and eventually, a father figure to her children.
