Shrapnel's fragmented body was partially blown into a vat of acid, in theory Shrapnel was half dissolved and killed by this accident, though some debate if a man capable of reassembling at a cellular level can truly die this way...

Shrapnel was created by Graham Marks, Andy Lanning and Phil Gascoine in 1993 and first appeared in Genetix # 2.
