Origin

A former member of The Hand, who broke out on his own and had the "stones" to keep himself alive while doing it. He built himself a little army of ninjas and started amassing a nasty little high-tech arsenal. He didn't gain this kind of power without making some enemies, and those enemies want him dead.

Deadpool is hired to take out Shuten-Doji and his army of "Pajama-Clad" ninjas. Which he does by punching Shuten-Doji in the face with a power emitting gauntlet. This act burns off Deadpools arm but also melts Shuten-Doji's head. It can be assumed Shuten-Doji is dead but as a former Hand member nothing is for sure.

Note

In Japanese myth Shuten-Doji is a mythical demon leader, who according to legend was killed by the hero Minamoto Raikō.
