Iron Man: The Iron Age

Simon Krieger was the Vice President of Republic Oil & Natural Gas the company that would become the Roxxon Energy Corporation. Simon along with the rest of Republic Oil & Natural Gas wanted to buy Stark Industries and went to great lengths to try and sabotage the plant to get Tony Stark to sell it. They were even responsible for the deaths of Howard Stark and Maria Stark in hopes that Tony would be to poorly equipped and not up to task for running a company.

Simon's final plan that eventually resulted in his death was to disguise himself as Tony Stark and ransom some of the worlds leader's with the aid of a mercenary group known as the Dogs of War at a secret meeting discussing S.H.I.E.L.D. on board a Helicarrier still being developed. The ultimate goal was to simply ruin Tony Stark's reputation. Simon's plan failed however when his true identity was discovered thanks to Happy Hogan who unmasked Simon on a live video feed and Iron Man who defeated the Dogs of War.

Simon was then brought to jail where he was assassinated in his cell by someone hired by the heads of Republic Oil & Natural Gas.
