First issue:
Splitlip is head of the Dwarven forges of Svartalfheim. During Fear Itself, he helped Tony Stark create magic weapons for the Avengers to try and defeat the Serpent's Worthy with. After the Serpent was finally defeated, Stark offered to help Splitlip with his lifetime of alcoholism by offering him a job at Stark Resilient to give him a reason to live, and supporting him in AA meetings.
