Creation

Saint Elmo was created by Scott Lobdell, Simon Furman and Pat Broderick in 1992 and first appeared in Alpha Flight Special # 1.

Powers & Abilities

Saint Elmo has the power of transillumintion which is the ability to temporarily transform solid objects into light. Elmo can synthesis large objects into light but bigger objects causes severe strain and stress on his body. Severe disorientation occurs on opponents temporarily converted into light. Elmo can also fire beams of solid light for range attacks and he possesses a degree of super strength, durability and resistance to injury. Elmo can attain flight when he is in light form.
