Tattoo at some point began to work for Obadiah Stane and was employed by him to place mind-controlling headphones on Stark Industries employees and thus discredit the company. However, Tattoo was defeated by Iron Man and sent to prison. Iron Man then intended to find out who Tattoo's employee was but finds that he was poisoned so that he wouldn't reveal Stane's identity.

Tattoo was created by Dennis O'Neil and Mike Vosburg, with his first (and only) appearance being in Iron Man #162.
