Brief History
A sculptor unwittingly used magical paint and turned a statue into a bipedal glob monster. It became alive and wrecked havoc among the painter's castle and the town right under the castle. The painter, wanting to correct his terrible mistake, tried to find a way to stop the Glob. The Glob's weakness was turpentine- it dissolved the creature just like it was, ordinary statue, and no more Glob.
Trivia
The creature's name was changed from Glob to Glop on its reprint appearance to try and avoid confusion with a recent Hulk villain also called The Glob.
