The famous statues from Easter Island became living beings and terrorized the locals in Marvel Monsters era. Luckily, the creatures where laid to rest once more thanks to a crafty human. Many years later, the superhero known as Thor encountered the strange entities as well and fought them. More recently, former X-Statix member and current X-men-associate Doop encountered the creatures as well.
