His past unknown, the man known as Thrash Bandit armor is based off the original Night Thrasher from the New Warriors. His armor is outfitted with energy blasters, high power roller blades, computer access and enhanced strength. He first showed up trying to kidnap Cameron Bryce Jones for ransom. Wild Thing chased him down with the help of Colin Brewster and used her psi-claws to take him down.
