Tigerstryke was employed as an agent of Department K, the Canadian intelligence organization that investigated superhumans. To aid him, he was given a suit based on the same technology as the suit of Guardian.
Creation
Tigerstryke first appeared in X-Force (1991) #11 by Fabian Nicieza and drawn by Mark Pacella.
Major Story Arcs
Weapon PRIME
Tigerstryke joined Weapon PRIME, a task force of Department K, working in conjunction with SHIELD. They were assigned to take down Cable when they received intel that he was running the Mutant Liberation Front. They lay siege on X-Force’s Adirondack headquarters to capture him, but he was defended by X-Force. Tigerstryke had the circuitry of his suit scrambled by Siryn’s sonic scream.
Hunt for Northstar
After the failure to take down Cable, Tigerstryke took over leadership from Garrison Kane. Department K sent them to hunt down Northstar, who had been framed by Arcade for murder. They eventually tracked him down to a circus in Russia which was being manipulated by Arcade. Northstar was able to convince Tigerstryke that there was a bigger issue at hand. He ordered Weapon PRIME to aid Northstar for now, which ultimately gave Northstar the opportunity to run.
Powers & Abilities
Power Suit: Tigerstryke had a power suit similar to the Guardian suit, capable of flight and energy blasts
- HUD: His visor has a head's up display capable of environmental analysis and filtering through the visual spectrum.
