In the 22nd Century, Selden Seymour took on the name of Trask after the X.S.E. was set up for the murder of J. Jonah Knox, a man who worked to better the relations between humans and mutants. After Knox's death, "Trask" believed mutants were still too dangerous and called for the dissolution of the X.S.E.
