Origin

Uranus was created by the Celestials one million years ago along with the first generation Eternals. He believed Eternals superiority granted rights conquer the Earth but his brothers Kronos and Oceanus disagreed. After his rebellion was stopped by his brothers, his remaining followers created a clone exiled themselves into space.

Major Story Arcs

Uranos lives by the principles of any and all deviant must be destroyed, and the machine must be protected by destroying anything that threatens it, even flora and fauna. He also believes that the Celestials should not be free but safely in a cage.

The Exclusion

Following the Uranosian War Uranos was confined the Exclusion for his crimes. During interrogation Uranos shared his omnicidal doctrine and twisted interpretation of Eternal Law with his brothers. Also explained killing or attempted to mindwipe him would trigger failsafes which would destroy the Machine (ref. Earth).

He is the keeper of the secret arsenals of the Machine. With a gesture, he could summon war itself to himself and unleash a great tide of cosmic fire.

600,000 years later his Thanos now Prime Eternal paid him a visit. Uranos told Thanos his story. Seeing potential in Thanos, Uranos decided to gift him his imprint-key to his armories, giving Thanos the ability to destroy the Machine (Earth).

Powers and Abilities

As one of the three patriarchs, Uranus is recognized as one of the three most powerful among the Eternals.

The Eternals’ bodily cells contain cosmic energy, and they maintain constant mental control over every molecule of their bodies. As a first generation Eternal Uranos has all the typical powerset:

Cosmic Energy Manipulation

Like all Eternals, Uranos' abilities depend on his training and discipline through the control of cosmic energy. And he proved to be so incredibly powerful that Legion considered him an equal after a confrontation on the mental plane.

Super Strength: Uranus showed a monstrous level of strength, being able to rip out Magneto's heart and also physically surpass Ikaris and Gilgamesh, two eternals known for their physical strength

Flight: A common feature among the Eternals, he was shown flying at high speed.

Invulnerability: He fought Omega-level Mutants without suffering a scratch, the only thing that managed to weaken him momentarily was a weapon banned from wars in the year 3877, but it left no mark on his body.

Immortality: Like all Eternals, he is immune to all known diseases and ageing and even in the unlikely event of his death, he would be resurrected by the Eternal resurrection system.

Telepathy: He proved to be the greatest telepath among the Eternals. As many Eternals tried to extract information from his brain, he resisted for a century against all his people. During this time, the Eternals, including his brothers the other Patriarchs, tried every telepathic method at their disposal, whether subtle or brutal, and in the end it was concluded that he would die, but his people would not be able to enter his mind.

Matter Manipulation: He used this ability to turn an entire city full of living beings into dust.

Regeneration: He regenerated from burns from the weapon used to weaken him for a moment and, seconds later, also from a direct hit from his own weapons.

Energy Projection: He manages to project energy from his eyes strong enough to seriously injure Xilo.

Abilities

Weaponsmith: He has proven himself to be unmatched among the Eternals when it comes to weapon construction, with his arsenal capable of taking on omega-class mutants and an entire planet of war-hardened mutants.

Hand-to-hand combat: He was able to defeat two Eternals known for their physical combat skills, Ikaris and Gilgamesh.

Tap dancing: He showed that he is good at tap dancing.

Guitar: It was shown that he knows how to play the guitar.
