History:

The woman known only as Vienna ranks among the world's most proficient covert operatives. She is so good that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't even sure of her real identity or origin. What we do know is that she has had a relatively long illustrious career as a freelance international spy, and that her primary motivation is money (she has been known to switch allegiances mid-assignment when a better offer is made). Her work has brought her into conflict with Sir Denis Nayland Smith, Shang-Chi, Heroes for Hire, and the Daughters of the Dragon.

Civil War:

Shortly after enactment of the SHRA, the new government-sanctioned Heroes for Hire bounty-hunting team founded by Misty Knight and Colleen Wing paid Vienna a large sum of money to help them lure several unregistered super-villains into a trap. Acting according to plan, Vienna used her underworld contacts to get in touch with the super-villains Bloodshed, Equinox, Ghost-Maker, Goldbug, Grindhouse, Kogar, Shadow Slasher and Shockwave, promising to provide them with passports and new identities in order to avoid the SHRA at her warehouse headquarters. But before the transactions were complete, Heroes for Hire burst on the scene, arresting all of the super-villains present under authority of the SHRA after a brief battle. With the super-villains safely delivered into the hands of the federal authorities, Vienna gladly accepted her cash reward.
