Vincent was a preacher in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in New York. Project Wideawake sent Sabretooth to collect him when they found out he was mutant, but Sabretooth intended to kill him instead. Omega Red however disrupted the attack and in the ensuing chaos, Vincent escaped.
